LOOK TO THE SKY ON WEDNESDAY 31 DECEMBER

Residents are encouraged to turn their heads towards the sky this New Year’s Eve!

Fireworks will launch across the region at 9.00 pm in Springfield Central, South Ripley, Ipswich Central, Rosewood and Goodna.

The Springfield Central, South Ripley, Ipswich Central and Rosewood fireworks locations have been chosen strategically in central locations with some residents can view the displays from their home backyards or in large, open public spaces nearby.

Springfield Central residents, look for a clear line of sight in the skies above the Springfield Central Sports Complex.

Best public viewing locations are Ovals C, D, E, F, G and H at the Springfield Central Sporting Complex – Sportstar Drive, Springfield Central.

Please note: there are no associated events alongside the fireworks display.

South Ripley residents, look for a clear line of sight in the skies above Ironbark Park.

Fireworks can be viewed from the Providence Twilight Picnic in the Park event or the Splash N Play Adventure Park.

Ipswich Central residents, look for a clear line of sight in the skies above Limestone Park.

Best public viewing locations are Bill Paterson Oval, Ipswich netball courts and Oval C and D at Limestone Park – 42 Chermside Road, Ipswich.

Please note: Public pathway access within Limestone Park will be impacted from 6.00 pm for the fireworks display. There are no associated events alongside the fireworks display.

Rosewood residents, look for a clear line of sight in the skies above the Rosewood Showgrounds.

Best public viewing from Tom Lenihan Park, Rosewood.

Please note: there are no associated events alongside the fireworks display.

Goodna residents, look for a clear line of sight in the skies above Evan Marginson Park.

Best public viewing from Club Parkview’s Cowboy Countdown event.
