Little by name, BIG on fun!

With a focus on sustainability, Little Day Out, presented by Verso Projects in partnership with Ipswich Festivals, is bursting with live music, hands‑on creative experiences, tasty food trucks and delightful roving entertainment. Gather your festival crew and get ready to sing, dance, create and play as Ripley Town Centre fills with energy and imagination.

From building a cardboard box village to grooving at the Jumbo Funk Disco or adding your handprint to the pledge wall, there’s plenty to explore. Plus you won’t want to miss 3-piece Australian band, The Gumboots, bringing playful, high‑energy songs that get kids and adults dancing together.

So, grab your dancing shoes (or gumboots!) and get ready to boogie at Little Day Out. Little Day Out programming is focused on children aged 8 and under.

Children are spoilt for choice with hands on, continuous drop in workshops and activities running throughout the event including:

FACILITIES & SERVICES

To enhance your Little Day Out experience, the below facilities and services are available onsite at the event:

Child feed and change room – Ripley Town Centre also has a parent room
Tag a Toddler – this service helps us quickly reunite children of all ages and their guardians should they be separated during the event
Sensory Pod
Auslan interpreted main stage program
Water Monster – fresh water dispenser to refill drink bottles

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

A range of family friendly food and beverage options are available within the event precinct including:

A number of cafes, restaurants and take away food options are also available at Ripley Town Centre.

PARKING

Ample parking is available in the Little Day Out Event Parking – access from Ripley Road (please see the below map)

Accesible parking is available to Disabled Permit holders in the Ripley Town Centre carpark. (please see the below map)

Other than for accesible parking, the Ripley Town Centre carpark is reserved for centre customers only.
