 2 May: Planes, Trains and Autos presents Fully Charged
Queensland Museum Rail Workshops, North Ipswich

Fully Charged is a power-packed, one-day extravaganza that brings together a dynamic array of displays, exhibits and activities. Offering an electrifying mix of interactive experiences plus the opportunity to explore specialty vehicles, machinery, cutting-edge technology and demonstrations up close. The excitement continues in the skies above with exhilarating aerobatic stunts and daring manoeuvres by world-class pilots.

2 May: QPSR Heritage Circuit
QPSR, Swanbank

Step back in time with the QPSR Heritage Circuit combining a train, Heritage Bus Association bus and visit to Cooneana Heritage Centre. This nostalgic experience takes a connected journey combining rail and road. 

2-3 May: 2 Days of Thunder
Queensland Raceway, Willowbank

Get ready for a weekend packed with adrenaline-fuelled horsepower. Multiple categories on track, nonstop racing action and a huge atmosphere from start to finish. Bring the whole family and enjoy great food, entertainment and family friendly activations throughout the venue.

2 May: Diesel Assault
Willowbank Raceway, Willowbank

Engine Australia Diesel Assault returns to Willowbank Raceway with screaming turbos, flames under lights, free racing, hard launches, cold drinks and nonstop diesel mayhem in one massive night event.

2 May: Flight!
Studio 188, Ipswich

A showcase of the new musical “Flight!” by Nicholas Hargreaves. This 60-minute presentation will premiere new songs and scenes from the musical, introducing misremembered figures from aviation history that span from Kongming’s Chinese lanterns to Jacques Charles’ hot air balloon. Direction by Timothy Wynn. Music Direction by Luke Volker.

This presentation is supported by the Hatchery 4305: AiR Program.

3 May: Monster Machine Day
Stockland Providence, South Ripley

For the young (and young at heart) who love big machines, this one’s for you! Come and get up close with SEE Civil’s Monster Machines at Stockland Providence, South Ripley and meet the crew who bring them to life.

4 May: Grandchester Model Live Steam Association Running Day
Grandchester

Train enthusiasts young and old will be in their element during this day out in the country, with the hustle and bustle of a real railway station, the locomotives are scaled down versions of actual coal burning steam engines.

5 May: Retro Picnic
Evan Marginson Park, Goodna

The Retro Picnic has become a must attend event for classic car and bike enthusiasts for a day of nostalgia and fun. This vibrant gathering features live rock ‘n’ roll tunes, a lively dance floor, a selection of delicious food trucks, and a curated array of vintage and retro stalls.
