When the sun goes down, SPARK AFTER DARK comes to life showcasing interactive art and experiences with light projection, music and performance. Gather your family and friends and explore Ipswich central on foot from Tulmur Place to the Ipswich Civic Centre – following the light, the music and the art!
Relax and enjoy deLIGHT animated artworks under the starry sky, hear talks from the festival artists and gather together before heading on to one of the many live shows, performances and exhibitions on offer across Ipswich.
deLIGHT
deLIGHT ignites Nicholas Street with a dazzling fusion of art and light! Artistic talent joins forces with projection wizard James Muller- Earthbase Productions to animate their creations.
Each night unveils a new artist work projected onto Metro B, on the corner of Nicholas Street and Union Place, culminating on Sunday the 20th July with a showcase of all 9 artists!
Neon: Play the Music
Neon: Play the Music, is a unique collection of interactive life-size neon musical instruments.
This immersive experience lights up the night and provides a chance for users to “airplay” and sing with the microphone. The dazzling Neon Baby Grand Piano, transports users to imagine themselves on stage with an orchestra or a New Orleans jazz band, while the next person sitting down is inspired to “play” like piano legends Elton John or Billy Joel.

Branding Artist - Kiana Good
Kiana Good, an emerging local artist, was commissioned in 2025 to create the SPARK branding artwork. She works with various mediums, including oil and digital platforms, to bring her creative visions to life. Her piece highlights Ipswich’s architectural elements, seamlessly blending them to spark curiosity and reflect the harmony between people and place. The process begins with in-depth research, carefully selecting and positioning each element. This artwork represents just one of Kiana’s many artistic styles, which can be explored on her Instagram @three.yeets. She invites viewers to take a closer look and discover all nine Ipswich-inspired elements hidden within the piece.
Chloe Adams
Chloe Adams, a Wiradjuri descendant from Kalkadoon country, blends cultural influences with modern techniques to explore identity and connection to Country. Using color, texture, and symbolism, she honors her heritage while embracing new perspectives. Chloe sees art as a bridge between past and present, sharing her journey across generations.
Andrew Kimberley
With a background in animation spanning major studios, feature films, and iconic ad campaigns, Andrew brings a unique aesthetic vision and a love for storytelling to his work. Co-founding a boutique studio with his sister, he blends handmade artistry with modern technology, creating animation that feels organic, tactile, and deeply connected to place.
Rushanthi Herath
Rushanthi Herath, an Ipswich-based mosaic and textured artist, draws inspiration from nature, celebrating Australia’s landscapes and wildlife. Her vibrant, detailed designs reflect organic textures and patterns. Through her art, she creates immersive experiences that invite personal connection, reflection, and interpretation, resonating uniquely with each viewer’s perspective and experiences.
Kym Tabulo
Dr. Kym Tabulo, a Post-Digital New Media artist since 2019, creates digital collages on diverse materials and in animated videos. Her abstract works blend photography in dynamic compositions, exhibited globally in galleries, conferences, and textbooks. She refines her craft through workshops, symposiums, and public art commissions across Australia.
Brandon Huges
Gamilaraay and Ngemba artist Brandon (Boda) Huges works to create a detailed visual enticement in his indigenous work through motifs and stylings from Aboriginal stories and his own ancestry. Brandon works as an apprentice tattoo artist at Compass tattoo in Nicholas Street Ipswich. It is his intention to bring Aboriginal art to the tattooing industry and showcase sacred and individual story telling through body art.
Sean Williams
Sean Williams is a multi-disciplinary artist working across sculpture, installation, and new media art. His creative practice addresses issues from environmental conservation to collective cultural memory and, more recently, the transient nature of the material body. Sean’s work embraces both traditional craftsmanship and new and emerging technologies.
Jordache Gage
Jordache Gage is a self-taught visual Artist with over a decade of experience in both the public art and gallery space. With a multicultural heritage encompassing Maori, Filipino, and English roots, Jordache’s family migrated to Australia from New Zealand, enriching his artistic perspective in a multitude of ways.
Jordache’s work is deeply rooted in exploring alternative narratives that challenge the dominant structures of Western society. Drawing from his lived experiences as a minority during childhood, his work explores deeper themes of nature and humanity. Jordache’s practice is driven by a desire to foster connection and offer fresh perspectives, creating a space where viewers can reflect on the complexities of identity, belonging, and the environment. Through his work, he invites audiences to question conventional narratives and embrace more inclusive, multifaceted ways of understanding our shared existence.
David Pearce
David Pearce, a Ngarrindjeri/Kaurna/Russian artist, draws on his rich heritage and creative family for inspiration. Named after his great uncle David Unaipon, he discovered his passion early, winning national recognition at age 10. His practice, rooted in painting, pottery, and sculpture, reflects culture, memory, and a lifelong dedication to art.
YEAHYEAHCHLOE
Born in South Korea and raised in NSW, YEAHYEAHCHLOE is a Brisbane-based artist exploring connections between people and objects. Influenced by ’90s cartoons, she uses bold lines, vibrant colours, and tape for precision. Her work spans digital art, painting, and sculpture, with collaborations including Gucci, Google, Twix, and Nike.
