The Festival of Horsepower is back in June with a month-long program packed full of adrenaline and excitement in the City of Ipswich! The annual festival features a number of Australia’s signature racing and motorsport events, from the glitz and glamour of the TAB Ipswich Cup to the raw and adrenaline fuelled action of the Gulf Western Oil Winternationals.
Experience fast and hard racing action at Queensland Raceway’s 2 Days of Thunder, while over at the Kart Club Australia’s best drivers will battle it out in the State Championships. With family fun to be had at the trots in Marburg, Hi-Tec Drifts at Queensland Raceway, the coveted TAB Ipswich Cup Barrier Draw and so much more, there’s plenty of excitement this June!

SAT 1 AND SUN 2 JUNE | WINTERNATIONALS WARM UP
Get a sneak peak of your favourite competitors as they warm up their engines and shred some rubber ahead of the biggest weekend of drag racing!
THU 6 TO SUN 9 JUNE | GULF WESTERN OIL WINTERNATIONALS
See the amazing flame-throwing ‘Top Fuel Funny Cars’ and all the thrilling non-stop racing action at the biggest drag racing event outside of America!
SUN 9 JUNE | V8 DRIFT EXPERIENCE
Hit the track side-ways at over 100km/h in a purpose build drift car for an adrenaline pumping experience with a professional stunt driver.
SAT 15 JUNE | CRUISE THE NIGHT
Light up the night and find out firsthand what it’s like to drive under the bright lights on the other side of the pitwall on this epic social cruise night.
SAT 15 JUNE | HI-OCTANE BURNOUTS
If you love the smell of burning rubber, then Octane Burnouts on Saturday night at the infamous QR burnout pad are for you!
TUE 18 JUNE | TAB IPSWICH CUP BARRIER DRAW
Held in Ipswich CBD, hear from racing commentators, owners, trainers and jockeys about the upcoming TAB Ipswich Cup plus other feature races.

Hosted by Motor Culture Australia, the first Track Festival of the year promises a full day of family entertainment, with cruises, stunt shows, roll racing, trade stalls and much more.
