about the Festival

Across Ipswich this July & August

BSAF is coming to Ipswich! Painting starts late July 2020.

For five years the Brisbane Street Art Festival has gradually transformed Brisbane into a public gallery of large-scale public artworks, growing the collection with each iteration. The annual festival welcomes artists from around Australia and the world to join the vibrant local street art community and celebrate creativity in public space.

This year BSAF will produce a series of artworks in Ipswich that engage with the local area and introduce large scale public art to the city.

The program was originally scheduled to launch in May, however due to Covid-19, painting will now take place from late July. Watch as seven walls are transformed across Ipswich Central.

On the weekend of 8 & 9 August, you can then connect with artists on-site at their walls, join in hands on socially distanced workshops and tune into a live streamed Swich Up Party broadcast from Studio 188.
